"My mission is to empower mothers and let them know they are doing their best."
-ORY
Ory’s passion for supporting expectant families was ignited while supporting a family friend during the challenging postpartum period 10 years ago. As a result, she changed her career, working as a Designer for visual Marketing, and discovered her new path becoming a Postpartum Professional. She first trained as a Postpartum Doula and Newborn Care Specialist. Ory learned that most postpartum families are struggling with sleep and breastfeeding, therefore she continued educating herself, becoming an Infant Sleep Consultant, and then certified as a Lactation Educator Counselor at UCSD.
Supporting and empowering new families as they transition into a growing family is her deepest desire. Ory gives guidance in early pregnancy, welcoming baby home, breastfeeding support, infant sleep hygiene, and nurturing individual family philosophies.
Advocating for breastfeeding led Ory to volunteer as a Breastfeeding Educator at the Nursing Mothers Counsel, a non-profit organization that supports new breastfeeding mothers in the Bay Area.
In her personal life, Ory retreats with yoga, hiking, walks on the beach and she loves traveling and organizing events.
“If you are reading this and considering Ory to be your postpartum doula, you are the luckiest parents in the world. We have never met a person who is so exuberant, passionate, and knowledgeable - Ory is a true professional who cares deeply about her work with infants. From our first conversation with her, we just knew she was going to become a special person in our lives." - Mariya A. (Atherton)
“Ory is someone in our lives that truly impacted the way our family of four spent its first few months. I truly believe she helped my marriage, my bonding with my baby, and strengthened my relationship with my older son. Anyone who is lucky enough to have her as their postpartum doula will be truly blessed.” -Carey D. (Palo Alto)
“Ory was always so accommodating to our needs and desires for our newborn son and helped us create a plan for him to get him sleeping better at night. He became a much better sleeper with her guidance and we are so thankful for that because nothing beats getting more sleep when you have a newborn“ -Erica D. (Menlo Park)
“Ory went above and beyond to support us independently, as a couple, and as a new family at every stage of the process. Her continual encouragement, professionalism, and cheerful spirit put our minds at ease and allowed us to be more present in precious moments.“ -Ryan D. (Sunnyvale)
“From the start, Ory was warm, family-centered, and an expert resource on newborns and nursing. She took care in our first meeting to ask questions not just about our preferences, but also about the patterns of our family life and how that might change.” -Ann M. T. (San Mateo)
“When friends or acquaintances ask, "How's it going?" we feel slightly guilty when we answer that it's going so much better than we expected. We feel rested and confident as parents, and so much of the credit for that goes to Ory.” -Kelly M. (Redwood City)
