postpartum doula + lactation specialist

Bethany had the privilege of attending the births of all her siblings' children over the years. Coming from a large family, she found immense pleasure in being a part of so many childbirth experiences and witnessing the miracle that is childbirth. She was also fortunate enough to have given birth to three children of her own, with the last one being at home. For two years, she apprenticed under a radical midwife, Deva Burgess, attending dozens of births, prenatal visits, and postpartum visits with her. Most recently, she completed the Postpartum Doula program through Cornerstone which was yet another step in her journey to help others with their childbirth journey.

HER MISSION... as a Doula is to empathetically guide and nurture the transition from womanhood to motherhood. She strives to create a judgment-free space for new mothers to recognize their own primal strength and power. Her goal is to help heal and nurture the new family bond and bring her wisdom, kindness, and knowledge into her clients' homes and lives. Every step in her journey has been a quest to discover the answers to her own emotional, physical, and spiritual health as a woman, mother, and human being. Through the lessons she's learned, she hopes to offer all the knowledge she's obtained, the extra hands she's been gifted with, and the support that's surrounded her to her future clients.

Over the years, Bethany has pursued education in nutrition and diet, studied herbal medicine, led fitness and yoga classes, and most recently received her black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as of July 2023. Achieving the rank of black belt is something she's very proud of as it not only signifies over 10 years of hard work and dedication but also her great passion for the things she loves. She's an easy-going mother of three who loves helping people, adores children and nature, enjoys hiking with her dogs, spending time with family, and going on adventures with her partner and kids.
